Built on 3 levels in the XIX century this house is in the center of the historical district of Saint Louis in Versailles.
The house was turning its back to a lovely garden.
The goal was to organise the ground floor for the garden to be part of the house.
The kitchen was moved from a tiny space on the street side to the shed at the back of the house, using old brick and polished steel for the windows, giving it a XIX century country house style.
The large glass panes bring light and the garden into the kitchen. Now from the front door one can see all the way through the house till the garden.
